We’ve got some exciting news for you. Following the great feedback we’ve had on our loving mascot Ottie since we introduced him to you all, we’ve decided to release a collection of 2,000 unique Ottie avatars as part of an NFT collection titled ‘Oh Ottie!’

Each avatar represents Ottie with his different facets — be it hobbies, professions or moods! Each of them will entail special rights and privileges.

Similar to the OG Badge Drop, the Oh Ottie! mint will showcase Altlayer’s superior flashlayer technology, which enables NFT minting in a gasless manner across EVM and non-EVM chains.

But this time around, we’re taking it to the next level. Oh Ottie! NFTs can be minted using native assets bridged from Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon, and eventually roll up the assets to Ethereum for trading.

Whitelisting opens at 18.00 PM SGT on 8 November and ends on 4 December at 23.59 PM SGT.

On 7 December, we will publish the how-to-mint guide and open the one-way bridge for you to transfer your ETH, BNB and Matic tokens to our flashlayer.

Note that there will be only one flashlayer rollup that spans across Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon, and supports ETH, BNB and Matic tokens. Users can opt for one or more token types (among ETH, BNB and Matic) to mint, as long as you have sufficient balance of the relevant token on our flashlayer.

Also note that you won’t be able to withdraw your bridged token assets on our flashlayer until the mint event is over. Please be mindful of the token amount to bridge for minting.

The mint event lasts for 24 hours and has two parts.

Part 1 — Private Mint: On 9 December, we’ll start private minting for whitelisted addresses between 12.00 PM — 16.00 PM SGT .

Part 2 — Public Mint: Public minting is open for all. It starts at 16.00 PM SGT on 9 December and lasts for the next 20 hours. The one-way bridge will remain open until the mint event is over.

The mint event ends either when all 1,200 avatars are fully minted or when the 24 hour mint period is over.

Each wallet address is allowed to mint a maximum of 10 avatars regardless of the token used.

Note that only $ETH, $BNB and Matic tokens are supported on our flashlayer. You won’t be able to bridge over other tokens.

After the end of the mint event, we will automatically bridge all the minted avatars back to Ethereum and all the remaining token assets back to Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon via rollup process. You won’t have to bridge your assets back to L1 yourselves.

Upon receiving your minted avatars on Ethereum mainnet, you will be able to trade the Oh Ottie! Collection on Opensea, Looksrare, X2Y2 and Blur, etc
